2. Information We Collect
The type and scope of information we collect depends on how you interact with our platform:
2.1 Website (liccalculator.pro)
- Calculator Inputs: All data you enter into any LIC Calculator (premium amounts, age, policy term, sum assured) is processed entirely in your browser. We do not store this data on any server.
- Cookies & Analytics: We use standard browser cookies and Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns, page views, and user engagement. These cookies do not personally identify you.
- Contact Data: If you reach out via a contact or feedback form, we may collect your name and email address solely to respond to your inquiry.
2.2 Android App (com.liccalculator.pro)
- Account Information: If you sign in using Google Sign-In (via Android Credential Manager), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google Account. This data is stored securely via Firebase Authentication.
- Saved Calculations & Bookmarks: When signed in, your saved calculations, bookmarks, activity history, and reports are stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore and synced across your devices.
- Device Information: We may collect device-level data such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. This is used for analytics, crash reporting, and improving app performance.
- Push Notifications: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications about important updates, new features, and relevant financial tips. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
- Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as screen views, session duration, calculator usage frequency, and user engagement metrics.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain our LIC Calculator tools on both the website and mobile app.
- To personalize your experience and sync saved data across devices when you are signed in.

4. Advertising
4.1 Google AdSense (Website)

6. Advertising ID Disclosure
Our Android application accesses the device's Advertising ID (via the Google Mobile Ads SDK / AdMob). The Advertising ID is used exclusively for the purpose of serving advertisements and analytics within the app. We do not use the Advertising ID for user profiling beyond advertising purposes. Users can reset their Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in their Android device settings at any time.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized disclosure or access. Specifically:
- All data in transit between the app/website and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- Firebase Authentication uses industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocols for secure sign-in.
- Cloud Firestore data is protected by Firebase Security Rules that restrict access to authenticated users only.
- Calculator inputs on the website are processed client-side and never leave your browser.
8. Data Retention
Website:We do not retain any calculator input data. Analytics data (via Google Analytics) is retained per Google's default retention settings (typically 14 months).
App: Your account data, saved calculations, and bookmarks are retained in Firebase Cloud Firestore for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
9. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can update or correct your profile information through the app's Edit Profile screen.
- Deletion: You can request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so, use the Delete Account page on our website or contact us directly.
- Opt-Out of Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings or browser ad preferences.
- Notification Control: You can disable push notifications from the app via your Android device's notification settings.
10. Children's Privacy
LIC Calculator Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
